M’sian woman saves man who had heart attack in Sarawak
In a Facebook post by a local cardiologist named Tan Sie Hing who recounted the story at the family’s request, he wrote that 55-year-old Law had complained of chest and stomach pain after a trip to China.
After undergoing a scope test on Apr 29, Law travelled to Kuching from Sibu to seek further treatment on Apr 30. However, he suddenly collapsed upon exiting the domestic arrival hall at the Kuching International Airport.

Fortunately, a woman behind Law quickly sprung into action, where she performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him.
She also utilised an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to deliver two electric shocks to “jolt” and help restore Law’s heart rhythm, thus saving his life as a result.
An ambulance eventually came and took Law to the Sarawak General Hospital’s emergency department, where a CT brain scan revealed that he had most likely suffered a near fatal cardiac arrest.

Tan wrote Law’s family later contacted him to examine Law, adding that a coronary angiogram showed two of Law’s heart vessels were fully blocked. Thankfully, he regained consciousness and suffered no negative neurological effects.
