Arguments between couples is nothing new, but sometimes things can get really heated to the point where one of them storms off in anger.
A verbal altercation between a couple in Melaka ended in tragedy after the wife rode off in a huff on her kapcai (motorcycle), only to lose her life after she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a stone wall.

According to a report by Sinar Harian, the incident occurred in Kampung Pengkalan, Alor Gajah at approximately 12.45am yesterday (Feb 12).

Alor Gajah district police chief, Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah said the 27-year-old victim, Nur Erdiyanah Samsul Maarif, had an argument with her husband before riding off on a motorcycle in anger.
While she was on her way home from Melaka Pindah heading towards Jalan Kasa Height, her husband chased after her from behind on another motorcycle, causing her to speed up in an attempt to escape from him.
“However, her motorcycle skidded at a sharp corner before crashing into a stone wall near Datuk Sri Mat Zin Vocational College,” he said in a statement.

Nur Erdiyanah was later pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers due to severe head injuries and her body was taken to the Alor Gajah Hospital’s Forensic Department of for a post-mortem examination.
The motorcycle she rode on prior to the crash was sent to the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) for further examination as well.
Ashari said police have summoned Nur Erdiyanah’s husband for his assistance in the investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987.
