Whenever we make an order via a food delivery app, we would sometimes leave a note instructing riders to place our order at a specific location for pickup.
A woman recently took to social media to complain about how a rider made it difficult for her to receive her order by putting at a place too high for her to reach despite her telling him not to do so.
M’sian woman rants about rider putting order too high up
In a Facebook reel, the woman lamented over the fact that she was forced to take out a chair and stand on top of it to get her order whenever it was delivered.
She also showed where the order was placed, where it was seen sitting on top of a lamp, which was erected on top of a pillar.

I have to take out a chair in order to get my food. To the rider, could you not place my order so high up where I’m unable to get it? You think I’m very tall or is this your way of telling me you are very tall?
“Please don’t do that. Please place the order here instead,” she said while gesturing to a wall located next to the pillar.

In the caption, the woman said this wasn’t the first time she had to use a chair to get her orders, adding that she had given the rider proper instructions beforehand.
“I wrote a note to the driver, which read: ‘Letak atas tiang pagar’ (put on top of the pillar). I’d like to ask whether was my Malay so bad that the rider couldn’t understand? I didn’t write ‘Letak atas lampu pagar’ (put on top of the lamp) either!”
Backlash
The woman soon found herself in a whirlwind of criticism by netizens, who slammed her for acting entitled and slamming the rider for doing his job.
‘Really hate people like you…who think they’re so smart and upload such clips online and act ungrateful. They (riders) earn so little but still have to wait. How about putting a hook outside for them to use? Is it really so difficult to climb just a little?’

‘You think being a rider is easy ah? Still want to blame him when you don’t want to take the initiative. I think this rider had a sense of responsibility. You’re really selfish and have ‘princess syndrome’.

‘Why can’t you go out and get your order when it arrives? Did you lose your legs?’
