As consumers, we would expect that we would be served exactly what we have ordered. But sometimes, things just don’t turn out the way we want it to.
A woman was left fuming and frustrated after she bought a packet of chicken rice from a roadside stall, only to find that the key ingredient was included at all.
M’sian woman pays RM8 for chicken rice which had no chicken
In a 38-second TikTok clip shared by @nr.hwni, the woman recounted how she was left feeling cheated by the vendor who sold her the food.
Captioning the clip ‘Vendor from Hell’, the woman said she bought a packet of chicken rice from a roadside stall for RM8.
But when she opened the box up, she was shocked to see that it only had rice, vegetables, a packet of soup and chili sauce but no chicken.
 It cost me RM8. I am already hungry but when I opened it, where was the chicken?” she said frustratingly in the video.
In the caption, the woman slammed the stall for ripping off customers and complained about the food quality, where she alleged it was below par.
“There was absolutely no taste in the chicken rice, and the soup was salty as seawater. The rice was undercooked, and the dessert was so hard that if you threw it at the wall, it would crack.
“To all business owners out there, if you want to run a business, do it honestly,” she concluded.
Netizens react to chicken-less chicken rice
The clip has since garnered over 670,000 views so far as well as thousands of comments from netizens.
Most of them seemed to be sympathetic towards the vendor, with many saying that he probably had forgotten to put the chicken into the box.
Another chided the woman for failing to check her order before leaving the stall.
Meanwhile, some tried to inject some humour into the unfortunate incident, with one joking that the rice was probably meant for chickens and not humans.
