A Malaysian woman shared her heartbreaking experience after losing her husband in a tragic road accident, only to discover his alleged infidelity shortly after his death, reported mStar.
Found secret messages on his phone
She revealed that her husband died on the spot after suffering serious injuries, including a fractured skull, broken ribs, and a broken left arm.
As she tried to process the loss, what happened next left her completely shaken.
While waiting at the mortuary for the post-mortem the next morning, she decided to check her husband’s phone.
That was when she stumbled upon secret messages and voice notes; ones that revealed he had allegedly been having an affair with a married woman.
Please give me words of encouragement. I just lost my husband. While waiting for the post-mortem, I found out he cheated.”
“All the chats were still on his phone because he didn’t have time to delete them. I’m strong, but sometimes I feel down. I forgave him, but the memories keep coming back. I want to hate him, but I keep comforting myself,” she shared on Threads.
Shaken but determined to seek closure, she decided to confront the woman involved.
Confronted the other woman
That very night, she went straight to the woman’s house, hoping to find answers before giving her husband his final farewell the next morning.
But the woman in question denied everything.
“Homewreckers always act like they know nothing. I opened the chats and even let her husband hear the voice notes. He was shocked and kept reciting prayers,” she said, recalling the moment.
Almost brought the case to court
Her anger and grief almost pushed her to take the alleged affair to court after the incident in November 2024.
But as she replayed her husband’s final pleas and promises in her mind, she eventually decided to let it go.
“Was all this a punishment for betraying his wife? I feel scared and sad for him in the afterlife. But sometimes the negative thoughts come, making me wonder if this is divine retribution,” she admitted.
Forgiveness, she said, was the only way she could gather the strength to give him his final farewell.
