Whenever we park our vehicles at public places, there would be a chart informing us of the charges that would be incurred based on how long the vehicle is being parked there.
A woman had a shock of her life when she was the total amount she had to pay after parking her car for close to two weeks at the Preferred Parking at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1.Â
M’sian woman hit with over RM2K bill for 2-week parking
In a 21-second video shared on TikTok by @yaya.tasha, it showed her heading to the autopay machine to pay the parking fee.

After keying in her car number plate, the machine displayed an image of her car along with the date and time she had parked it at the Preferred Parking.
According to the time stamp, she had entered the premise at 3.39am on Dec 31, 2024 and exited on Jan 13, 2025, at 9.39pm, bringing the parking duration to a total of 13 days and 8 hours.Â

However, nothing could have prepared her for the figure that would be shown on the screen, which came to a whopping RM2,084!
Unsurprisingly, this left the OP stunned, where she wrote in the caption: “Not sure whether I should laugh or cry.”

‘So expensive!’
The clip has since garnered over 400,000 views at the time of writing along with comments from netizens who were stunned by the amount.
‘The hell? RM2k parking for over 13 days. Parking at 5-star (facilities) doesn’t even go over RM2k in Wangsa Maju. Can negotiate price with the mall.’

‘She can pay for car installments with that amount.’

Some also wondered why the OP opted to park her car at the Preferred Parking area when there were cheaper options available.
