A reader who witnessed a dramatic late night incident outside her home said she initially believed a bloodied man involved in a car crash was trying to harm himself, only to later discover that he had allegedly attacked a woman earlier that night.
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the reader shared that the incident unfolded shortly after she returned home from work.
She said she heard a loud noise downstairs and saw a Perodua Bezza crashing into a neighbour’s gate, breaking it on impact.
Car continued hitting other vehicles before stopping nearby
According to the witness, the driver appeared unconscious or incoherent as the car drove off again, hitting two other parked vehicles before finally stopping nearby.
She said her neighbour, along with a friend and the friend’s father, chased after the car until it came to a halt in front of her house.
The man started yelling from inside the car before getting out and sitting on the ground beside it,” she recalled.
When the friend’s father approached him, he began calling for help, drawing a crowd of onlookers.
At that point, the witness said they were unsure whether the man was under the influence of any substance, but he appeared injured and disoriented.
Man claimed to have low sugar
The situation escalated when the man attempted to get back into the car to escape, but the engine stalled.
As he began bleeding heavily, the man claimed he had low sugar levels. The group then brought him sugar and water, believing he was experiencing a medical emergency.
“We honestly thought he might be having a mental health crisis or even trying to harm himself,” the OP said.
She added that she had already contacted the police, who were on their way.
When officers arrived at the scene, they recovered two knives and used a towel to apply pressure to his neck to stop the bleeding. An ambulance was also called shortly after.
Traumatised after learning about earlier attack
The witness said she initially felt pitiful for the man, believing he may have been struggling with personal or financial issues.
However, her feelings changed completely after police informed them that the man had allegedly injured a woman earlier and hijacked her car.
“When I found out he did this to another woman, I felt very traumatised,” she shared.
“At that point I thought, if he could injure someone like that, how long before he does it to others. This happened right near my house and seeing everything unfold was really traumatising for me.”
She added that she was unable to remain at the scene due to the emotional impact of witnessing the incident.
Police confirm slashing & car hijacking
As reported by FMT, Sepang district police chief Norhizam Bahaman confirmed that a 60-year-old female e-hailing driver was seriously injured after being attacked at a parking area in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi on Monday (Dec 22).
Police received a report regarding the incident at about 9.40pm.
“The victim sustained serious injuries to her neck as well as a slash wound on her left arm, believed to have been inflicted with a sharp weapon by a suspect known to the victim,” he said.
She was later rushed to Hospital Cyberjaya for treatment.
Norhizam added that the suspect, a 69-year-old local man, fled the scene with the victim’s Perodua Bezza.
At about 11.15pm, police located the suspect after he was involved in a road accident at Taman Desa Melati Phase 3 in Nilai.
The suspect was found covered in blood with injuries to his neck, and a kerambit knife was discovered inside the car,” he said.
The suspect is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit at Hospital Cyberjaya.
The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder, which carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years, or up to 20 years if the victim suffers permanent injuries.
