When it comes to family finances, fairness and priorities can sometimes become painfully blurred.
One woman’s online confession has sparked a wave of sympathy and outrage after she revealed how her husband keeps spending on his parents while neglecting his own wife and children.
He bought a Bezza while his own kids went without
According to mStar, the woman revealed in a social media post that her husband had once bought a Perodua Bezza for his father, even though he wasn’t supporting their household financially.
My husband bought a Bezza for his father. I didn’t agree with it because he wasn’t even giving us proper financial support… I didn’t give my blessings,” she wrote.
But instead of taking her concerns seriously, her husband went ahead with the purchase, leaving her feeling completely disregarded.
Now he wants an Ativa?
Not long after, the Bezza was involved in an accident. Rather than being a moment of reflection, it became an opportunity for the father-in-law to ask for something more extravagant, a Perodua Ativa.
She was stunned by the bold request, especially given their financial situation.
Her husband, who frequently claims to have no money, somehow still manages to meet his parents’ every demand.
No money, but still acting like they’re rich. I really don’t understand people like that,” she said.
To make things worse, her husband even dismissed her place in the family, allegedly saying, “As a wife, you’re just an outsider.”
Struggling in silence while others get everything
The woman revealed that she has had enough, tired of being scolded whenever she brings up the children’s needs or household expenses, while her husband jumps at every complaint from his parents.
She claimed that his family knows exactly how to manipulate him, and he, in turn, continues to ignore the well-being of his own household.
My husband acts like he doesn’t even have a job. He complains every day about not having money. But the moment his parents start complaining, he immediately gives them money even when he doesn’t have any.”
At the end of the day, building a family is about partnership, balance, and respect.
Everyone wants to care for their parents, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of the people you’ve built a home with.
