Whenever we buy food from a stall, we’d expect the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene to be practiced so that we don’t fall sick from the food.
Unfortunately, a woman was left with a bad taste in her mouth after she discovered an entire lizard inside her pisang goreng (banana fritters) tiramisu that she bought from a stall in Penang.
Found lizard her pisang goreng tiramisu
In a more than a minute-long clip shared on TikTok by @alisha.azni, it showed her scooping up what appeared to be the body of a lizard that was buried within her pisang goreng tiramisu.

Her worst fears were later proven to be true after she ran the unknown item under running water, where it was revealed to be the corpse of a lizard.
She then warned others to be careful when buying food outside, especially stalls that had poor hygiene which led to customers suffering from food poisoning.
“Bought pisang goreng tiramisu, got a deep-fried lizard instead — be careful, guys!” she wrote in the caption.

She also revealed in the comment thread that when she demanded for a refund, the stall owner ‘blue ticked’ her and didn’t respond to her complaint.
To add insult to injury, the owner also allegedly said he would only cover the hospital costs if the OP sought treatment at a government hospital as it only cost RM1.
Netizens appalled
Needless to say, netizens also felt sickened by the clip, with one saying she would have vomited on the spot.

Another recounted how another stall owner commented nonchalantly on the size of a cockroach she found in her food.

Meanwhile, some urged the OP to lodge a complaint with the authorities, with the OP replying saying she had already done so with the Ministry of Health (MOH).
