Whenever it comes to important keepsakes or jewelry, we would always make sure to take good care of it or spiral into a meltdown when it goes missing.
One woman thought she would never recover her engagement ring but to her surprise, she managed to find it more than a year later at the most unexpected place.
Finds ring during random search
In a video shared on TikTok, a woman shared how she found her engagement ring, which had been lost since 2024.
She revealed that her car seats had been removed for a thorough search, which eventually led to the surprise discovery.
Surprisingly, the ring wasn’t under the floor mat or between seat cushions.

Apparently, the ring was stuck inside the lining of the seat cover, secured by a rubber strap that held the cover in place.
Once removed, a hidden pocket was revealed—just large enough for small items to get lost in.
Aside from her own ring, she also found another ring belonging to a relative, a hijab pin, coins, an Allen key, and even a small bottle of eye drops.

She believed these items had fallen through the gaps behind the seatback and ended up inside the seat lining.
“Luckily, I decided to check this spot one more time. My husband even dismantled the front seats but still didn’t think to look there,” she said.
She also advised others who have lost items in their car to inspect the same area.

Hidden treasure stories
After the video went viral, many users commented with their own experiences of finding missing items inside car seats.
‘Thank you for sharing, I just found my wedding bracelet again. It had been missing for a year.’

‘I once had my car key fall into that spot too. But I just reached for it from the seat.’

Another user joked that they had been inspired to remove their car seats now to find their own treasure.
