Road accidents can happen in the blink of an eye, but when animals are involved, the situation becomes even more unpredictable.
A Malaysian woman recently suffered injuries after the car she was in collided with a buffalo, leaving her with a deep wound that required stitches.
Unexpected crash in Langkawi

The incident took place yesterday on Jalan Ayer Hangat, Langkawi, when 29-year-old Siti Syaima Ahmad was travelling with her husband, Afiq Ali, 32, and their 8-year-old daughter.
According to NST, they were on their way to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star for their daughter’s heart treatment when the unfortunate crash happened at around 12.40pm.
The car, a Toyota Vios, was driven by a 41-year-old man. As they were passing through Taman Nilam, a buffalo suddenly leapt onto the road from the left, leaving the driver with no time to react.
The car struck the animal before veering off the road.
Mother suffers head injury
According to Langkawi police chief Assistant Commissioner Shariman Ashari, only Siti Syaima sustained injuries in the accident.
She suffered a wound on her forehead that required eight stitches.
Meanwhile, her husband, daughter—who has had a heart condition since birth—and the driver escaped unscathed.
Following the crash, Siti Syaima was immediately taken to Sultanah Maliha Hospital for treatment.
