When nature calls, there’s no time to read signs properly.
One woman found this out the hard way after accidentally charging into the men’s toilet in Shah Alam, leaving both herself and a poor abang thoroughly confused.
Signage said left for women, right for men… but layout said otherwise

The now-viral TikTok video starts off innocently enough, with Zahra entering what she assumed was the correct toilet.
In front of her were signs that clearly indicated: men to the right, women to the left.
But here’s where things went wrong.
The men’s toilet was positioned slightly further inside the corridor, making its door almost hidden from direct view.

In contrast, the women’s toilet door was more visible and inviting. In a moment of urgency, Zahra made a split-second decision that sent her straight into the wrong loo.
The plot twist at the door

After finishing her business, Zahra stepped out of the toilet and immediately saw a man heading into the same one.
Both of them stopped in their tracks and looked at each other, clearly unsure of what just happened.
Zahra quickly turned around and rushed back to her car, stunned and embarrassed.
‘I was bursting already!’

To get the full story, WeirdKaya reached out to the woman herself, Zahra, who was more than happy to laugh at her own expense.
She confirmed that the incident happened at Petronas, AEON Shah Alam, and explained that she was already in panic pee mode by the time she reached the toilets.
I was really about to burst already, couldn’t tahan anymore!” she said.
When asked whether anything inside tipped her off, Zahra admitted that nothing looked out of place and even if there were urinals, she didn’t notice them.
I didn’t notice any urinals inside, or maybe I just didn’t realise. Everything looked fine to me.”
But the real shock came when the man walked in, confirming her worst fear.

“I was shocked, but I didn’t get angry. I even said, ‘Eh abang salah toilet!’ while running out. He said something back but I was too panicked to process it. I just remember his shocked face and wide eyes.”
It wasn’t until she got into her car that everything clicked, and so did the laughter.
I looked up and saw the male/female signs properly. That’s when I realised. Everyone in the car couldn’t stop laughing at me.”
Netizens couldn’t hold it either
The internet, of course, had a field day.
After Zahra’s video went viral, commenters quickly filled the replies with their own embarrassing toilet stories, opinions on signage design, and pure amusement.
“No wonder the toilet smelled weird.”
“If it were a guy who went into the women’s toilet, he’d be in lock-up by now.”
“I was about to poop my pants and rushed in. Heard women talking and realised I was in the ladies’ toilet. The sign was way up on the wall.”
“How did she not notice the urinals though?”
