It’s no secret that Malaysians love their drinks, especially during the fasting month.
Recently, a Malaysian vendor has been raking in RM7,000 a day by selling an impressive 113 varieties of drinks at the Kuala Besut Ramadan Bazaar.
Taking a risk with over 100 drink varieties
According to Utusan, Suriane Abdullah, 29, decided to expand her drink selection by over 30 varieties compared to last year, giving customers even more choices.

Among the drinks she offers are 40 flavoured beverages, 50 types of mixed shakes, seven boba drinks, eight float drinks, five fruit juices, laici kang, cendol, and a unique mix of cendol with laici kang.
She admitted that selling such a vast range of drinks was a bold move, as no other vendor in the area offers this many options.
However, with a prime stall location and strong determination, she took the plunge—and it has paid off tremendously.
Sells 3,000 cups a day
Since the start of Ramadan, Suriane has been selling approximately 3,000 cups of drinks daily, including those in plastic packaging.

To meet demand, she uses about 200 kilograms of sugar every day, which is pre-cooked before being mixed into the drinks.
To maintain hygiene and prevent food poisoning or stomach issues, I always boil the water and sugar before preparing the drinks,” she said.
She also ensures that all drinks are freshly prepared each day. If there are any leftovers, she distributes them to bazaar visitors or donates them to nearby mosques for people to break their fast.
