A Malaysian recently posted on Facebook trying to sell a second-hand sofa for RM288 — but instead of getting serious buyers, the post quickly went viral for a completely different reason.
In the post, the seller claimed the price was cheap because they were moving out and wanted to let it go fast, even adding that the couch was their favourite and urging others to call if interested.
But the photos told a very different story.
The sofa, which appeared badly worn, with sagging cushions, faded fabric and suspicious stains, sent netizens into a frenzy.
Many couldn’t help but joke that the sofa looked like it had “been through a war” or “witnessed a murder.”

“Balenciaga limited-edition?”
The comments section quickly turned into a meme fest.
One user joked it looked like a haunted movie prop, while another asked if it was “produced by Balenciaga.”
Someone even offered RM250 to take it away, on the condition that it doesn’t smell.

“Is this sofa an antique?”

A few said their pets would be afraid to sit on it, while others quipped that just looking at the photo made them lose their appetite.
“Was this rescued from a house fire?”

Despite the chaos, one comment summed it up: “So ugly… but I still kinda want one.”

Whether it’s a clever marketing stunt or a genuine listing, this couch just went from furniture to Facebook legend.
