M’sian Traffic Officers Work Together To Rescue Injured Stray Dog Trapped Inside Drain

Three traffic officers went above and beyond their duty to rescue an injured stray dog that had fallen into a deep roadside drain and was unable to climb out.

The incident took place on Thursday near the main road of Bahau Satellite Town, approximately 3km along the Bahau-Juasseh route.

Dog trapped in the drain, frightened

In the video posted on Facebook, the dog seems in fear and attempts to hobble away in the drain from the polices, but the three officers patiently worked together to help it.

Using a plastic bag, they carefully lifted the injured animal from the drain to safety.

Following the rescue, the Jempol District Police shared a video of the incident on Facebook, accompanied by the caption: “Love and compassion know no boundaries; animals’ lives are just as precious.”

Quick response from officers

Mohd Rasul Putera Bin Mohd Shahauddin, Mohd Zulhairi Bin Yahaya, and Adrian Johnny, who are part of the Jempol District Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Unit, were on duty when they noticed the helpless dog stuck in the drain.

Concerned for its well-being, they immediately stopped to assess the situation.

Reports indicate that the stray had likely been hit by a car, leaving it with a fractured leg and multiple injuries. Unable to move properly, the dog was trapped, unable to escape on its own.
