What was supposed to be a short getaway among a group of friends turned into a tragedy after one of them fell from the 14th floor of an apartment in Kuala Terengganu.
Unfortunately, the victim didn’t survive the fall and was found dead by another person at the scene yesterday (Jan 16).

According to a report by Harian Metro, the 17-year-old victim, who was from Machang, Kelantan, was on a vacation with several friends and had rented a unit on the 14th floor of the apartment, where they all were scheduled to check out on Saturday (Jan 18).
However, the vacation was cut short when the victim fell from the 14th floor and landed on the 6th floor, where he was found lying on his back by a cleaning staff member at around 12pm.
Kuala Terengganu district police chief Assistant Commissioner Azli Mohd Nor confirmed the incident and said police received a report from a member of the public at 12.30pm.
“The victim’s body was sent to the forensic unit of Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) for an autopsy.
“The case has been classified as sudden death (SDR) and further investigations are ongoing. We’ve also contacted the victim’s family regarding the arrangement of the victim’s remains,” he said.
