A 14yo Chinese Malaysian girl has been missing for four days after allegedly running away from home, and her family fears she may be in the company of a 47yo man she met through an online game, a man with a history of fraud and debts owed to loan sharks.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the girl, identified as Wong Yixuan (transliteration), was last seen on July 23 after her grandfather dropped her off at her school in Kepong’s Taman Ehsan as usual.
But when she didn’t return by 1pm, her family began to worry.
“My father contacted the school and was shocked to learn that she hadn’t even attended class that day,” said the girl’s father, who works in Singapore and leaves his daughter and young son in the care of his elderly parents.

‘He said he’d give her a car and buy her a house’
Wong believes his daughter may be with a 47-year-old man she met online through a mobile game.
This suspicion arose after an earlier incident, when the man was seen picking up Yixuan in a white SUV in the Jinjang area, and a concerned friend of the family snapped a photo.
My sister confronted the man when he came to our home. She asked if he knew my daughter was only 14. He claimed they were just friends and said he’d wait until she was older.”

According to Mr Wong, the man even gave his IC to the family during the confrontation, which revealed he was 47 years old.
Later, the girl reportedly told her father that the man was “very rich,” promising to transfer the SUV to her name and even buy her a house — statements that alarmed the family even more.
Behavior became more concerning
The family noticed troubling changes in Yixuan’s behaviour leading up to her disappearance. She reportedly began coming home after midnight, and once returned with visible love bites on her neck.
This prompted her grandparents to file a police report two weeks ago, hoping it would put an end to the situation.
Mr Wong also returned from Singapore to speak with his daughter, and she initially appeared to calm down — until she suddenly vanished again last week.
“She said she was going to school, but never came home. That was the last we saw of her,” said Mr Wong.
Man allegedly owes ah longs, has fraud record
Determined to find his daughter, Mr Wong and his mother went to the man’s registered address in Batu Pahat, Johor using the details from his IC. But when they arrived, they found the house had already been sold.
A former neighbour revealed that the man was in debt to loan sharks and had recently scammed a local woman out of more than RM10,000 just two months ago.
Mr Wong is now pleading with the public to help locate his daughter.
“I’m terrified for her safety. If anyone has seen Yixuan or knows anything, please contact me directly at 017-283 3898,” he said.
