A routine morning at a secondary school in Kedah took a sudden turn after a car driven by a teacher lost control and crashed into multiple areas within the campus.
The incident, which happened at SMJK Keat Hwa in Kulim, has since drawn attention online but thankfully no one was injured.
Car reverses into school canteen
According to China Press, the accident occurred at around 6.25am when a 55-year-old teacher was attempting to park a car in the school compound.

However, the situation took an unexpected turn when the vehicle suddenly reversed at speed, crashing into the school canteen.
At the time, the campus was still relatively quiet, with few people around, which likely prevented a more serious outcome.
Vehicle lurches forward and hits another car
Following the initial impact, the teacher reportedly tried to regain control of the vehicle by moving it forward.

Unfortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful.
The car then surged forward uncontrollably, heading towards the school’s open area before crashing into another vehicle belonging to a fellow teacher that was parked nearby.
Minor injury reported, no casualties
Despite the chaotic sequence of events, no students or staff were hurt.
The teacher involved sustained a minor injury to the right leg and later sought medical treatment.

Police said both vehicles suffered visible damage, including to the front and rear bumpers, bonnet, side panels, and headlights.
Initial investigations suggest that the accident was caused by the driver’s failure to properly control the vehicle.
‘Unfortunate but could’ve been worse’
When contacted, the school’s board chairman confirmed the incident and said it was likely caused by human negligence.
He noted that the early hour played a crucial role in preventing injuries, as the canteen was empty at the time.
The teacher involved has since taken leave to seek treatment, while the school management and board are continuing to review and follow up on the situation.
