Residents living at Bukit Rambai, Melaka, woke up to a bloody discovery after a woman and her son were found lifeless and in a pool of blood at their home this morning.
According to China Press, the murder, which is believed to have been caused by a robbery, took place at 5am. The victims were 51-year-old primary school teacher Vernita Boon, and her eldest son, 21-year-old Lim Boon Kai.
The Chinese daily also reported that Wen is the daughter of a Melaka MCA member.

It is understood that Boon and her late husband, who worked as a chef, had three sons. After her husband passed away from an illness six months ago, she lived with her sons.
The incident came to light when Boon’s second son, who had been out all night, returned home to pick up his younger brother for school and stumbled upon Boon and Lim’s bodies.

At around 6am, officers from the Batang Tiga police station arrived at the scene and found Wen’s youngest son lying injured in front of the house.
As for Boon and Lim, they were found inside the house in an unconscious state and covered in blood. Medical officers from the Melaka Hospital later pronounced them dead, reported NST.
Also present at the scene was the police forensic team remains led by Melaka deputy police chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Jefferi Abdullah and Melaka Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Leow Kian Heong.
