Weddings are undoubtedly one of the most important occasions of one’s life as it’s an event that witnesses them officially choosing to spend the rest of their lives with their partner.
For one teacher in Seremban however, she was instead forced to miss out on this momentous occasion after her leave application was allegedly denied despite applying for it months ahead.
M’sian teacher allegedly misses her own wedding due to meeting
In a now-deleted post on Threads posted by the OP, he wrote about a wedding ceremony his mother attended in Sabak Bernam which had everything but the main character — the bride herself.

According to the OP, the bride, who worked as a teacher at a school in Seremban, had to skip her own wedding as she had to attend a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting.
The principal did not approve her leave due to a PTA meeting, so she couldn’t attend her own wedding ceremony. How heartbreaking.
“I was shocked to hear this. The bride only arrived in Sabak Bernam at nearly 6pm because of traffic congestion on a public holiday,” he wrote.
The OP also claimed the bride had reportedly applied for leave over three months in advance but was only informed that it was rejected three weeks before the wedding.

State Education Department to look into claims
Although the post was subsequently deleted, it didn’t take long for the post to go viral, where it was shared by prominent educator Mohd Fadli Salleh.
Sinar Harian later reached out to Negeri Sembilan State Education Department (JPNS) Director Khalidah Omar regarding the allegation, with the latter saying no report was formally lodged over it.
“JPNS has not yet been able to verify the authenticity of the news. We are currently gathering further information regarding the issue,” she said.
