It’s rare for riders to work at midnight due to fewer orders compared to daytime and heightened safety concerns during late hours.
However, for one young man, this was his choice of working hours so that he could earn enough money not only to provide for his family, but also to finance his studies.
M’sian student does food delivery at 4am
Recently, the young man named Muhammad Amir Firdaus Zulalim shared on his TikTok account on why he prefers working in the middle of the night and early morning, where he wakes up as early as 4am for work.
According to him, he finds the atmosphere during those hours to be much calmer and quieter. He added that this actually allows him to focus on his work without distractions.
He added, “Some people have even said to me, ‘Are you crazy to go out in the middle of the night? Are there even any orders at that time? Everyone is asleep!’“
Refuting their doubts, Amir shared that there are indeed orders even during those late hours.
Who says there are no orders? There are. If there weren’t, I wouldn’t go out at this time. I do what others don’t. When people sleep, I go out.
“Opportunities are everywhere. It just depends on whether you’re willing to work hard to find them. If you want to say I’m lazy, well, I admit I am lazy sometimes,” he said with a laugh in the video.
‘Please care for your health’
The video has since garnered over 1.9 million views at the time of writing, with netizens stunned by Amir’s working hours and advising him to take it slow for his health’s sake.
Some also left encouraging words for him amidst his unorthodox working schedule.
‘Take good care of your health, bro. May you be blessed with abundance, and may your burdens be eased.’
