However, during the rainy season, the journey to sit for this critical exam has become a challenge as many students must brave the relentless flood to reach their schools safely.
M’sian student travels by boat for SPM
Recently, a student in Kelantan named Siti posted a TikTok of her and her fellow schoolmates travelling by boat to school just to sit for their SPM examination.

The video, which was captioned ‘All for a certificate’, has since garnered over 2 million views and more than 300,000 likes at the time of writing.
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Siti said the incident took place on Sunday (Dec 1) at Rantau Panjang.
She also added that she wasn’t able to take the examination at the school she was going to, but at another school that wasn’t affected by the flood.

Not only was my school flooded, my hostel was also flooded. As such, we had to take the exam at another school instead.
“Thankfully, the army has been providing invaluable support during this challenging time in assisting students by escorting them to and from their destinations amidst the severe flooding,” she shared.
Netizens express sympathy
In the comment section, it was filled with heartfelt messages from concerned netizens, who expressed their sympathy and support for students like Siti who saw their schooling life get disrupted by the floods.
