Getting into a romantic relationship with family members is never a good idea as not only is it morally abhorrent, but it also severely damages long established family ties and trust.
A young man is now facing a personal dilemma after he got his sister-in-law pregnant but lays the blame completely at her door, where he accused her of making unwanted advances.
‘It just happened!’
According to mStar, the man said he “unintentionally” got his sister-in-law pregnant but had a defense for it.
This didn’t start from me. From the beginning, it was my sister-in-law who kept seducing me. I tried to avoid it, but when you live in the same house, you’ll understand how intense that pressure can be.
“I’m a man and I have desires. Honestly, I just couldn’t hold back when I was being seduced,” he wrote on social media.
The man added that while he understands that many would condemn him for the incident, he reiterated that it wasn’t 100% his fault and urged them to put themselves in his shoes.
“I know there will definitely be people who condemn me even though it wasn’t entirely my fault.
“But if you were in my place, what should you do next?” he asked, adding that the affair was taking a toll on his mental health as he was still a student.
Online criticism
Unsurprisingly, netizens slammed the man for getting his sister-in-law pregnant, saying that he brought it upon himself by choosing to stay under the same roof with a family member of the opposite gender.
Some also questioned his show of remorse, with one asking whether he only became regretful after hearing of the pregnancy and secretly enjoyed the affair.
On the other hand, many urged him to quickly move out from the house so that he wouldn’t open himself further to temptation.
