Whenever we go out for a meal, we’d usually expect that the portion we get is equivalent to the price we pay for it. Unfortunately, sometimes things just don’t go our way.
A customer was left dumbfounded when he was served a bowl of tomyam soup that came with meagre portions of ingredients, which was further topped off by the reason given by the stall owner.
M’sian shocked by tiny tomyam ingredients
In a series of photos which were originally posted by a netizen named Man Marang but was later reshared by Saja Viral on Facebook, it showed a bowl of tomyam soup being served to the customer.

While it looked like the soup was brimming with ingredients, it couldn’t be further from the truth when the customer used his spoon to fish out the ingredients.
To his horror, the soup only had three squid rings, two tiny prawns, and several pieces of chicken — all for RM7.

When the customer confronted the stall owner over the unbelievably stingy portion of ingredients, the latter defended it by claiming that it was all he could catch when he went out for fishing.
However, the post didn’t disclose where the stall was located.
Netizens slam stall owner for being stingy
The post has since gone viral, where it garnered over 2,000 reactions and hundreds of comments from netizen who couldn’t believe what they just saw.
‘These vendors are the ones who drive away their own customers from their business.’

‘When people don’t come to their stall, they accuse the nearby stall of witchcraft.’

‘My Chinese friends once asked me, ‘Why are Malay stalls so stingy and expensive? Isn’t it a sin to cheat (customers)?’ I didn’t know how to answer.’
