A Malaysian worker is at her wits’ end after having to put up with a colleague who simply couldn’t resist the urge to cry at work.
In an anonymous posting, the OP wrote that her colleague was one who would cry from the moment work started until it ended.
“One second she’ll be crying, and the next she’s sobbing while asking someone about something work-related in a manner that suggests she’s completely unaware of her crying.

“Despite this, she can still carry on with her work,” the OP wrote.
From sympathy to annoyance
At first, everyone would sympathise with the colleague and ask what’s causing her to sad most of the time.
As time passed however, the crying became so frequent that everyone’s sympathy dried out and wouldn’t bother asking for the reason anymore.
“While I understand crying might be my colleague’s way of releasing her emotions, it’s hard not to be affected when I’m sitting right next to her.
“Every time I hear her pulling tissues out, I’ll silently think to myself: ‘Here we go again.’“

Mood & productivity affected
The OP added that her colleague’s incessant crying had also soured the workplace’s mood as the crying hung over everyone’s head like a dark cloud.
She also said that she had noticed her own productivity and mood have suffered as a result of her colleague’s crying as she was unable to concerntrate at work.
While she admitted that there was nothing wrong in being emotional or crying at work, she asked whether it was possible to stay composed in such situations or whether she was too easily influenced by her surroundings.

Reactions
In the comment section, netizens had suggestions for the OP, with some ranging from practical to ridiculous.
One jokingly suggested that she turn her colleague’s crying into a movie and yell “Cut!” when it was over.

Another said that the OP should purchase a pair of ear-pods to block out her colleague’s crying.

Meanwhile, one said the OP’s colleague may be dealing with depression as no normal person would cry this often.
