In recent weeks, the public’s perception of Malaysia’s police force has hit rock bottom after two instances of officers asking for bribes from foreigners went viral on social media.
Thankfully, there was a heartwarming incident of two policemen who went out of his way to send a young boy who was suffering from heart problems to the hospital.
Got caught in heavy traffic
In a Facebook post written by the boy’s father yesterday (Jan 31), he said that he received a call from his son’s school, where he was informed that his son was experiencing nosebleeds which wouldn’t stop.

After picking his son up from school, the OP quickly rushed over to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) but was unfortunately caught in heavy traffic.
“We were worried about him because our son is scheduled to have his third heart surgery in June and he is a patient at the National Heart Institute (IJN),” he added.

Getting anxious for his son’s condition, the OP then resorted to flagging down a police car which happened to pass by the Old Klang Road.
To his relief, the policemen didn’t hesitate to offer help and immediately brought the young boy to the hospital.

At the end of the post, the OP expressed gratitude for the policemen’s assistance and thanked them for going the distance despite them being on duty during the newly-crowned Agong’s coronation ceremony.
Policeman praised for his kindness
The OP’s post was later reshared by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) on its Facebook page, where the two policemen were identified as Inspector Muhd Kamaruddin and Corporal Aswad.
Netizens commended both officers for their kindness and swiftness in sending the young boy to the hospital.

They also wished the young lad a speedy recovery from his current condition.
