In an unusual incident that has netizens buzzing, a KTM Komuter train was spotted speeding down the tracks with one of its doors wide open.
The incident, which took place on October 30, was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.
The video’s uploader, Solomon Tan, shared more context on Facebook, explaining that he recorded the clip at 4:19 PM on October 30.
He noted that when he first boarded the train, the doors were functioning normally, but after the train passed Bukit Tengah station, the door remained open.
Tan mentioned that other passengers were equally surprised by the situation.
Upon arriving at Bukit Mertajam station, he reported the issue to a female ticketing officer to ensure the matter was addressed promptly.
Following the public’s reaction, KTM Berhad issued an apology on the Facebook post, acknowledging the incident and assuring passengers that immediate action was taken.
According to their statement, KTM completed the necessary repairs on the same day to ensure passenger safety.
They also expressed their commitment to improving services to prevent similar incidents in the future.
