A simple act of care inside a hospital ward has captured hearts across Malaysia.
A senator named Dr. Lingeshwaran shared a post on Facebook praising the nurse, identified as Nurdina, who works at Seberang Jaya Hospital, after a video of her feeding an Indian male patient with her bare hands went viral.
Sincere display of compassion
The touching moment quickly drew widespread attention online, with many describing it as a rare and sincere display of compassion.
In the footage, Nurdina is seen patiently feeding the bedridden patient without wearing gloves or using a spoon.

Instead, she carefully uses her hands to help him eat, a seemingly ordinary act that spoke volumes about empathy, dignity, and human kindness.
Many who watched the video admitted they were brought to tears.
Praised as a ‘true angel in white’
In his post, Dr. Lingeshwaran thanked Nurdina for being a pillar of strength to patients in their most vulnerable moments.
“On a hospital bed, what patients need most is care, attention, and compassion,” he wrote.
This moment was not staged for cameras, nor done for applause or praise. It was simply quiet dedication and sincere service — this is the truest reflection of Malaysia.”
He added that in times of weakness and helplessness, what matters is not race or religion, but the warmth of humanity.
Netizens applaud her sincerity
The comment section quickly filled with messages of admiration.
Many netizens pointed out that feeding a patient by hand, without gloves, showed a level of sincerity and tenderness that goes beyond professional duty.
‘Feeding with her hands. Not disgusting. Congratulations. A nurse who works with heart and soul.’
