Many Malaysians are flooding social media with birthday wishes for Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s 100th birthday today (July 10).
But one nasi kandar restaurant decided to do things the Malaysian way with rice, curry, and a side of creativity.
100 years, 1 plate, maximum respect

In a now-viral post, the eatery stacked rice to form the number “100,” drenched it in curry, and topped it off with two salted egg halves—each decorated with green chillies.
But it wasn’t just for show. Each detail was thoughtfully done to reflect Tun M’s legacy.
The restaurant explained that one salted egg had 4 chillies, and the other had 7, representing his time as Malaysia’s 4th and 7th Prime Minister.
They also noted that he’s likely the only former PM to reach the milestone of 100 years old, and wished him blessings on his centennial birthday.
Netizens say: “very creative!”
Malaysians filled the comment section with admiration, calling the tribute “very creative” and sending heartfelt wishes to Tun M on his big day.

No word yet if the former PM has seen the curry art himself but one thing’s for sure: this might just be the most Malaysian birthday tribute ever.
