Commuters aboard the MRT were in for a delightful surprise when a group of musicians, clad in traditional attire, transformed the train carriage into a lively cultural performance space.
The viral moment, captured and shared on TikTok, showcased the band playing traditional Malaysian musical instruments such as the gendang (drum), double bass, tambourine, and guitar.
In traditional outfits
The musicians, dressed in intricately designed batik outfits and black songkok hats, captivated passengers, many of whom were seen enjoying the spontaneous showcase of local heritage.

The performers are members of Musicians Enjoy Kajang, a local ensemble known for promoting traditional Malaysian music.
The group was specially invited by Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, the public transport operator, to hold this performance inside the train.
