A motorcyclist who attempted to perform a ‘wheelie’ at a traffic light ended up embarrassing himself after losing control and crashing to the ground — all while being recorded by a stunned couple in a nearby car.
The incident happened near Batu Caves on Oct 21, where the couple were shocked when the motorcycle in front of them suddenly toppled over the moment the light turned green.
At first, they thought a collision had taken place and could be heard panicking in the video, asking, “What happened? Who hit who?”
It was only after reviewing their dashcam footage that they realised the truth — the rider had caused the accident himself.
Footage shows the motorcyclist carrying a pillion rider as he accelerated from a standstill. Within seconds, he lifted his front wheel off the ground in an apparent attempt to pull off a ‘wheelie’ stunt.
However, he immediately lost his balance, causing both rider and pillion to fall flat onto the road along with the bike.
While the couple were shocked, another driver behind them reacted very differently by clapping, laughing, and even giving a thumbs-up, as if applauding the motorcyclist’s “instant karma moment.”
No sympathy
After the video was uploaded online, it quickly went viral and drew a wave of humorous reactions, with netizens commenting that the rider “deserved it”.
