A mother’s shocking discovery has sparked outrage online after her domestic helper allegedly vanished, not just with stolen valuables, but also leaving two very young children alone at home.
In a TikTok post shared by user @artisdumai1, the woman claimed her 24-year-old Indonesian maid had only worked in her home for a month.
After receiving her first salary, the maid allegedly waited until the employer was out before packing a pink suitcase, taking gold jewellery, and leaving the house.
What made the situation even more alarming was that the maid reportedly left the house without locking the door, resulting in the children being left alone for nearly an hour.
Left without locking the door
The CCTV footage shows the maid walking out with her luggage. The mother claimed that the maid did not lock the door before leaving, leaving the children alone in the house for nearly an hour.
At the time, one child was reportedly unwell with a fever, while the other was crying in fear.
When the mother returned home and realised what happened, she immediately attended to the children and later shared that the incident left them shaken.
She also alleged in her caption that someone may have been waiting outside to pick her up.
Public asked to help locate maid
The mother is appealing to the public for information on the maid’s whereabouts. She stated that a reward would be offered for verified leads.
As of writing, the video gained more than 3M views and 91K likes on TikTok.
She also claimed in some follow-up post that the maid was last seen in Putrajaya.
Netizens slam the act
Following the viral post, many Malaysians expressed anger over the alleged incident, calling the act irresponsible and dangerous.
Several urged authorities to take action, while others pointed out how risky the situation could have been if an emergency had occurred.
As of now, there has been no official update on whether the maid has been located. The case continues to circulate online as netizens call for accountability.
