For most people, living the married life is like going through a rollercoaster, with some probably experiencing more lows than highs and wishing they could get off soon.
For one man in Penang, his marriage turned out to be his pathway to mind-boggling riches after he won the jackpot not long after he celebrated his wedding anniversary with his wife.

The winner was a 53-year-old doctor from Penang, who shared with TheSun Daily about how this life-changing win came to be.
He said he had taken his wife out for a candlelight dinner to celebrate their wedding anniversary when a set of numbers on the receipt caught his eye.
The numbers 4486 and 5704 came straight from the receipt number at the restaurant where me and my wife dined.
“These pretty numbers caught my attention after I paid the bill for our candlelight dinner,” he said.
Wanting to try out his luck, the man used the numbers and placed a bet, not knowing that he would be named the winner of the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 on March 29.
This comes after he bought a System 3 ticket, which saw him winning RM11,768,682.70 along with a System Play bonus of RM336.
As for the remaining RM219,975.30, it was won by another winner from Sarawak.
The man, who collected his winnings along with his wife, attributed his win to his display of affection for his partner.
I truly understand now why the Cantonese say that if you love your wife, you will become rich. I’m very thankful for a wonderful anniversary present.”
When asked what he planned to do with the money, the man said he’s looking to share it with his siblings and save the rest for his children’s future.
