A simple act of kindness between friends has moved many Malaysians online after a video showing a hospital visit went viral on social media.
The clip shows a group of friends visiting one of their own who was bedridden in hospital.
What stood out to viewers was one friend gently wiping and cleaning the patient’s body, an act that many described as deeply touching.
Text displayed in the video expressed a message of gratitude and appreciation, stating that even if he was not the best friend, he would never forget the kindness shown to him and would remember it forever.
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the man shared that he had been admitted to Hospital Serdang after suffering from a bacterial infection in his blood.
He explained that by the time his friends came to visit, he had already been confined to his hospital bed for several days.
Friend helped clean his body when he could not move
According to him, he had not bathed for several days and was unable to move much on his own during that time.
One of his friends, who came to visit, noticed his condition and took a cloth, wetted it, and helped wipe his body while he remained lying down.
He added that he has a spinal cord condition and relies on a wheelchair for mobility. The presence of an intravenous line made movement even more difficult during his hospital stay.
Sometimes, care from a friend speaks louder than words ever could.
