A man in Kedah brutally murdered his wife by stabbing her multiple times at their home in Taman Tiram, Kulim Hi-Tech, due to a fit of rage driven by jealousy last night (Sept 14).
After committing the act, he surrendered to police and confessed to everything, leading to his arrest, reported Harian Metro.

Stabbed wife 13 times
Kulim District Police Chief Superintendent Syamsul Sinring said police believe the murder was caused by jealousy on the suspect’s part.
The suspect admitted to police that he had stabbed the victim 13 times — seven times in the chest, five times in the abdomen and once in the right rib — using the folding knife.
“After the incident, the suspect took a shower and picked up his child from the babysitter before handing the child over to his sister at the Juru R&R stop.
“He also informed his sister that he had stabbed his wife before turning himself in at the Lunas Police Station at 8.40pm,” he said.

Following the suspect’s confession, he was arrested and police later seized a folding knife measuring approximately 20 centimetres.
No criminal record
As for the victim, she was taken to Kulim Hospital by her family and was pronounced dead at 9.30pm.
Her body was then sent to the Forensic Department of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) in Alor Setar for a post-mortem.
Syamsul said preliminary interviews with neighbours found that they did not hear any arguments from the house as it was reportedly drowned out by heavy rain.

The suspect, who is from Parit Buntar, Perak, is unemployed but tested negative for drugs and was found to have no criminal record.
Police are probing the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
