M’sian Man Spends RM10,000 Chasing After Girl Of His Dreams, Only To Lose Her To Another Man

Ouch.
They say love can make someone do things that are out of the ordinary, and for some, it also means parting with tons of money along the way too.

A man recently took to social media to share how his pursuit for a girl’s heart went downhill and advised other men that oftentimes, constantly chasing after their crush may not be the best way to go in winning their affection.

Spent RM10,000 chasing after crush

In an anonymous confession to XUAN’s Facebook page, the OP said he had come to realise that if a man has to spend enormous amount of time and money just to win a girl’s heart, it will usually end in bitter disappointment.

I used to be a “simp” by pouring my heart out and spending money and effort in pursuing a girl. But I later realised that you need to attract women to you, not chase after them.

“If she accepts you because you spent money, time, and energy chasing her, she won’t truly like you even if you’re successful in getting her to be with you as she might have agreed to do so out of guilt,” he wrote.

The OP then proceeded to recount how he came to learn this truth the hard way by revealing that he previously spent RM10,000 within a span of two months just to woo his crush.

However, it all resulted in heartbreak as his crush eventually decided to be with another man, who only spent one week in winning her over.

‘Focus on yourself first, then love will come’

Following this devastating incident, the OP said he then shifted his focus on bettering himself by going to the gym, spending money on himself, and taking care of his lifestyle.

Eventually, this led to a girl being attracted to him and also caused him to realise that when one stops trying to please others, others will naturally be attracted to them.

“Stop chasing women blindly. Instead, focus on improving yourself and learn to enjoy the solitude and make yourself happy.

When you no longer need love to validate your worth, that’s when true love will finally make its way to you,” he wrote.
