In a shocking and disturbing display, a local Malaysian man has been filmed using poison to harm wild animals.

A cruel method to target wild monkeys
According to Harian Metro, the man, who claims to have imported the poison from Thailand, was seen demonstrating how he prepares a toxic bait.
In a now-viral video, he inserts a spoonful of the poison into a banana, which he then offers to wild monkeys.
The man believes that this poison not only kills monkeys but can also take down wild boars.
Furthermore, in another video, the same individual is seen throwing ice cream mixed with poison towards a group of monkeys near a residential area.

He suggests that this technique will help eliminate the nuisance of these wild animals, which have reportedly caused trouble for local residents.
Datuk Abdul Kadir Abu Hashim, Director-General of the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) Peninsular Malaysia, expressed his deep concern over the cruel treatment of protected animals.
He condemned the man’s actions as an unlawful attempt to resolve wildlife conflicts.
According to Perhilitan, intentionally poisoning or killing protected wildlife is illegal under the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010 (Act 716).
The department urges the public to report any incidents of cruelty towards wildlife and to seek professional assistance in dealing with wildlife disturbances.
Perhilitan advises the public to contact them directly for any wildlife-related concerns or to report acts of cruelty.
The department can be reached through their hotline at 1-800-88-5151 for further assistance and guidance.
