M’sian man sets wife’s car on fire after an argument
In a short clip which has been making waves on Facebook, it showed a white Toyota Vios stopping in the middle of the road with its double signal lights on, while a white Toyota Vellfire is seen in front of it.
Barely a few seconds into the clip, the car suddenly bursts into flames, sending a group of girls scrambling out of the vehicle and causing the OP to shriek in terror.

A photo later showed the aftermath of the fire, where the Toyota Vios was completely consumed by the flames and reduced to a burning heap.

According to Johor Baru (South) police chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, he said the fire occurred in front of a private hospital on Jalan Tebrau yesterday (Feb 2), where a 21-year-old woman lodged a police report at the Majidee police station at 1.33am.
He added that the woman’s 25-year-old husband was unhappy with her following an argument over their marriage and proceeded to set her car on fire.
The suspect appeared in a Toyota Vellfire, blocking the car in which his wife was traveling with two other women and a man. He then poured petrol on the vehicle and set it on fire before fleeing the scene.

“As a result, the Toyota Vios was 80% burned, with losses reaching an estimated RM90,000,” he said.
Police are now tracking down the suspect to assist in the investigation and the case is being probed under Section 435 of the Penal Code for causing mischief by fire, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 14 years upon conviction.
Those with further information on the incident are urged to come forward and file a report or contact the Johor Bahru Selatan IPD hotline at 07-2182323.
