Sometimes, divorce cases unfold over issues far more mundane than expected.
A man recently share an unusual experience he witnessed while observing divorce proceedings at a Syariah court, revealing that one couple’s dispute stemmed from something as simple as how toothpaste was squeezed.

According to the man, he was at the Syariah court as part of an academic assignment that required him to observe real court proceedings.
While there, he came across a divorce case that left a lasting impression due to its unexpected reasoning.
When questioned by the judge about his reason for seeking a divorce, the husband reportedly claimed that his wife was stubborn and refused to listen to him despite repeated reminders.
As reported by mStar, the man sharing the story said the husband insisted that he had advised and warned his wife many times, but she continued behaving the same way.
The judge asked for an example of her stubbornness
To better understand the claim, the judge then asked the husband to provide a specific example of his wife’s alleged stubborn behaviour.

The husband responded by explaining that he had repeatedly reminded his wife not to squeeze the toothpaste tube from the middle of the tube.
He said squeezing it that way caused the contents to sink downwards, and he had asked her to squeeze from the bottom instead so the toothpaste would move upwards properly.
Despite his reminders, the husband claimed that his wife continued squeezing the toothpaste however she liked. He even pointed out that he was the one who bought the toothpaste.
Judge offers practical solution
After listening to the explanation, the judge did not proceed further with the divorce. Instead, he offered a practical piece of advice.

The couple was told to return home and simply buy separate toothpaste tubes, so they would no longer need to share one.
The man concluded his story by saying that the judge instructed the couple to go back and avoid turning minor household habits into major conflicts.
