In any relationship, money can be a tricky topic especially when one partner isn’t great at handling it.
One Malaysian man has drawn attention online after revealing he’s been quietly saving more than RM100,000 — without his wife knowing a thing.

Saving in secret since they tied the knot
As reported by The Sun, a 29-year-old man anonymously confessed on Threads that he began setting money aside shortly after getting married two years ago.
According to him, his wife has a habit of spending on things that aren’t really necessary.
Concerned that she might ask for more money if she knew about his savings, he chose to keep it under wraps.
I’ve got over RM100K saved. Does that make me a bad person for hiding it from my wife all this while?”
Preaches simplicity while quietly building a rainy-day fund

He added that whenever his wife brought up the idea of spending, he would gently encourage her to be thrifty and live within their means.
Meanwhile, he was slowly growing a six-figure emergency fund in the background.
His goal wasn’t to spend the money freely, but to have it ready in case they ever faced financial difficulties.
Money talks can get complicated in marriage but is keeping quiet ever the right move?
