Recently, a viral video caught the attention of many online as it showcased an encounter between a motorcyclist and a man who had placed a wooden stick on the road, almost attacking the motorcyclist who questioned him for doing so.
In the viral clip shared by the Facebook page Haa Tepuk, a wooden stick was seen placed across the road near a paddy field intersection, causing disruption for passing vehicles.
Most of the road users, particularly motorcyclists, were forced to slow down, with some opting to take alternative routes around the obstruction to avoid damage to their vehicles.
The situation drew the attention of one motorcyclist, who, equipped with a body camera, decided to turn back and confront the person believed to have placed the stick.
In the video, the motorcyclist wrote, “U-turn (turn) back, I want to ask why you put a big stick across the middle of the road.”
A question of safety
Upon reaching a house located by the side of the road, the motorcyclist confronted the man and questioned him about his reasoning behind the obstruction. T
he man responded, explaining that he had placed the stick because he felt some drivers were speeding in the area, particularly in front of his house.
The motorcyclist, however, was not convinced by the explanation and argued that such actions posed a serious danger to other road users.
Don’t do this, it’s dangerous, especially with cars passing through here,” he said, urging the man to reconsider his actions.
Frustration escalates
Despite the motorcyclist’s concerns, the man stuck to his decision, insisting that he wanted road users to slow down.
The situation grew tense as the man appeared frustrated and angered by the motorcyclist’s criticism and almost hit the motorcyclist.
You can talk like that in front of your house, but you’re just making noise,” the man retorted.
The motorcyclist, undeterred, continued to argue the point, stressing the potential risks and the possibility of serious accidents resulting from such obstructions.
In the end, the confrontation ended without violence, but it raised significant questions about the safety of taking matters into one’s own hands when it comes to road safety.
