M’sian Man Mocks Teachers For “Not Owning Lamborghinis”, Gets Schooled By Netizens Instead

"They say without school and a degree you won't succeed, but I've never seen a teacher driving a Lamborghini.”
Some Malaysians measure success through impact, contribution and character but one man decided it all came down to one thing: whether you drive a Lamborghini.

His attempt to use that logic to belittle teachers has since sparked a wave of criticism online.

A man recently uploaded a social media post where he posed proudly in front of a Lamborghini while mocking the value of teachers and formal education.

He wrote:

They say without school and a degree you won’t succeed, but I’ve never seen a teacher driving a Lamborghini.”

The post implied that he was more successful than any teacher in Malaysia despite not having a degree.

‘Without teachers, you wouldn’t even be able to write this’

His remark quickly drew backlash. Many netizens reminded him that the ability to even compose his caption came from the very educators he insulted.

Some pointed out the irony: he used literacy skills taught by teachers to undermine them.

Religious educator Ustaz Elyas Ismail also condemned the statement, calling it unacceptable and disrespectful toward a profession that shapes the nation.

Several teachers responded to the viral post, explaining that their mission was never tied to luxury items.

Instead, they take pride in educating and lifting the younger generation and they hope that one day, their students will be the ones driving Lamborghinis, symbolising true educational success.
