A local man tragically lost his life in a road accident which saw him colliding with the back of a rubbish truck, killing him on the spot.
To further add on to the already tragic circumstances, it was reported that his demise occurred on his birthday.
M’sian man killed on his 22nd birthday in road accident
According to MalaysiaGazette, the accident occurred at Kilometre 32 of the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) heading towards Putrajaya today.
The 22-year-old victim was riding his motorcycle along the LDP when he crashed into the back of a rubbish truck.
Selangor Fire Department Assistant Director of Operations Division Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said an emergency call was made regarding the accident at 5.51am this morning.
A team of six firefighters from the Cyberjaya Fire Rescue Station along with an emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) vehicle were immediately dispatched to the scene.
“When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim had already passed away. His body was later handed over to the police for further action,” he said.
China Press reported that in a cruel coincidence, the day the victim was killed was also his birthday, effectively bringing his life to a tragic end at the age of 22.
Photos of the accident’s aftermath showed the sheer impact of the crash, where the victim’s body lay sprawled along the road and blood streaks were spotted as well.
