When it comes to food, we always expect it to be fresh, clean, and most importantly, safe.
But imagine the shock of biting into your favourite curry puff only to find something completely inedible – and disgusting!
That’s exactly what happened to one unlucky customer in Puchong, and the vendor’s response left everyone stunned.
The Shocking Discovery
According to China Press, one curry puff stall in Puchong was enjoying a snack when they stumbled upon something truly horrifying – a cigarette butt mixed into the filling of their curry puff.
Shocked and disgusted, the customer wasted no time and headed straight back to the vendor to confront them about the incident.
But instead of receiving an apology or a proper explanation, they were only given a refund of RM3 – the price of the curry puff – as though that settled the matter.

They told China Press, they called out the vendor for showing no responsibility or care for public health.
“How does a cigarette butt end up in a curry puff? Were the ingredients collected from the trash?” the customer asked.
The customer’s concerns didn’t stop there. They began questioning whether this was a one-time issue or if the entire batch of ingredients had been compromised.
“Is this just one bad curry puff, or is there something wrong with the entire batch? This is a clear failure of quality control, supervision, and basic responsibility.” the customer added.
The Bigger Issue – Food Safety
The customer also pointed out the potential dangers of such negligence. “What if someone eats this and gets sick? Who would be held accountable?” they asked.
The customer stressed that vendors who show no regard for food safety and corporate responsibility should face serious consequences for their actions.
