A young man lost his cool and killed his mother with his own hands after she scolded him for vaping inside the house.
According to Kosmo, the tragedy took place in Felda Ayer Hitam in Kluang, Johor yesterday (Dec 4).

In the 10.45am incident, the 20-year-old suspect had a verbal argument with his mother after she reprimanded him for vaping inside the house.
Enraged by his mother’s scolding, the suspect stabbed her from behind while she was having breakfast in the kitchen.

She suffered stab wounds to the waist following the attack and was rushed to the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries at 11am.
Kluang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh confirmed the incident and said personnel from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kluang District Police Headquarters (IPD) and Sri Lalang Police Station arrested the suspect at the scene.
Further investigations revealed that the suspect had no prior criminal record and tested negative for drugs after undergoing a urine test.
Dad: ‘I don’t believe he did it on purpose’
In an interview with Harian Metro, the suspect’s father Masrudin said the suspect was unemployed and alone at the house at the time of the murder.

He also revealed that the suspect had been undergoing mental health treatment for the past six months.
I believe that wasn’t ‘him’ (the suspect). If you ask me, it wasn’t my son’s intention or under his control.
“I also call upon my other children to not hold a grudge against their brother. That wasn’t ‘him’; it was something else,” he said.
The suspect has since been remanded for seven days to aid investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries the death penalty if convicted.
