M’sian Man Dramatically Reenacts Squid Game’s ‘Red Light, Green Light’ Scene At MRT Station

Bravo, Player 456 of Malaysia—you’ve won our hearts (and the internet).
We’ve all seen fans go to great lengths to express their love for TV shows—cosplaying at conventions, quoting characters word-for-word, or even rewatching an entire series in one sitting.

But one Malaysian fan took his Squid Game obsession to the next level, creating a scene so dramatic it could’ve been straight out of the show itself.

With Squid Game Season 2 premiering on Netflix on December 26, 2024, the buzz around the global hit has only grown louder.

To celebrate the new season, Netflix teamed up with MRT Corp to transform MRT Ampang Park into a mini Squid Game set, complete with a giant replica of the creepy “Red Light, Green Light” doll that has haunted fans since Season 1.

“I have played this game before!”

But while the doll may have been the main attraction, one fan decided that standing around admiring it wasn’t enough.

A TikTok video shared by @laveyyeager shows this hero stepping into the limelight—literally—and reenacting the iconic “Red Light, Green Light” game in public, complete with all the drama and theatrics you’d expect from a true Squid Game enthusiast.

With the same energy as a kid playing pretend at recess, the man shouted “Porow!” (his personal spin on “Oreum,” which means “freeze” in Korean) while slowly creeping toward his imaginary finish line.

He even quoted the series’ main character, Seong Gi-hun, saying, “I have played this game before!”

We’re not sure if he actually has or if this was just a next-level commitment to the role.

What really stole the show, though, was his attention to detail. The man mimicked Player 456’s signature move of hiding his mouth with his arm during the game.

Forget rain or being alone in a public space—this guy was fully in the Squid Game zone, playing with a level of intensity that deserves an Oscar (or at least a TikTok Award).

Unsurprisingly, the video exploded online, racking up a jaw-dropping 21 million views and plenty of comments.

Some netizens joked that he should be cast in Season 3, while others just appreciated the sheer confidence it took to pull this off.
