An elderly man lost his life in a tragic accident after the motorcycle he was riding on got hit by another motorcycle driven by a 12-year-old child.
According to a report by MalaysiaGazette, the accident took place at the Sentosa Lane/Gembira Lane intersection in Kampung Sri Aman, Johor Bahru on Monday (Mar 31).

In a statement by Johor Bahru North District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh, he said police received a report about the accident at 9.45am.

“The victim, a 65-year-old man, was exiting Sentosa Lane on his Honda motorcycle while making his way back home.
His motorcycle was suddenly struck on the right side by a Yamaha motorcycle ridden by a 12-year-old boy who was traveling at the main road along Lorong Terus.
“As a result of the accident, the elderly man suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI). Meanwhile, the child sustained bruises on his left knee,” he said.

The case is now being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
