M’sian man confesses to slapping wife over chicken rice delay
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the man had a rather incredulous reason for why he slapped his wife in public.

It was all because his wife had reportedly taken too long to buy chicken rice from the mall, causing him to lose his temper and subsequently assault her.
After discovering that police were hot on his trail, the man, who is in his 50s, went into hiding by sleeping inside the car. However, he was eventually nabbed outside a clinic in Kota Warisan at around 10am.
Sepang district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman said the man has been remanded for three days starting Saturday.

The case is now being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt, which provides for a jail term of a year, a fine of up to RM2,000, or both upon conviction.
Kudos to the authorities for acting swiftly and we hope the victim will recover from this traumatic event.
