Motorists in Johor were shocked after a man was caught on film endangering his life while hanging onto a moving car for dear life before falling onto the road.
A police investigation later revealed an alleged verbal altercation was what triggered the man’s behaviour and that he had consumed drugs prior.
Clung onto car for 2km
In the now-viral clip, it showed the man clinging to the exterior of the blue car that was moving along the road.
However, he lost his grip and subsequently tumbled onto the road as the car drove off. It’s not known whether he sustained injuries due to the fall.

Seri Alam district police chief Mohd Sohaimi Ishak later released a statement, where he said an argument between the man and his ex-wife at a supermarket was what led to the bizarre situation.
Following the argument, the man climbed onto the hood and clung to the front of his ex-wife’s car as she drove on for 2km.
A group of men, believed to be the man’s friends, later blocked off his ex-wife’s car and allegedly extorted her, stole her belongings, and smashed her car windows.
Tested positive for drugs
The man was subsequently arrested at around 2am in Masai yesterday (Mar 1) after police received a public tip-off.

Although he did not have a criminal record, the man tested positive for ketamine and was remanded for seven days to assist police investigations.
The case is now being probed under under Section 384 of the Penal Code for extortion, Section 427 for committing mischief, and Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug use.
