M’sian Man Who Was Given DNAA For Slapping Non-Muslim To Be Charged Again Today

He's expected to be charged in the afternoon.
Earlier today, we reported of the man who was charged in court today after a viral clip showed him slapping a non-Muslim teen in public for not fasting during the month of Ramadan.

During court proceedings however, 65-year-old Abdul Razak Ismail was granted a discharge not amounting to acquittal (DNAA) after the Johor Bahru Magistrates Court was informed that the case was to be referred to the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC).

Following the DNAA, the AGC released a statement regarding the incident and said Abdul’s time in court isn’t over yet.

Will be charged for 2nd time in court

According to the statement, the AGC wrote Abdul was granted a DNAA due to a technical issue regarding the initial charge filed against him this morning.

This issue has been resolved, and the individual will be re-charged at the Johor Bahru magistrates’ court this afternoon.

“The Attorney-General’s Chambers remains committed to ensuring that all parties receive fair justice in accordance with the provisions of the law,” the statement read.

On Sunday (Mar 16), Abdul was caught on camera harassing and assaulting the non-Muslim teen at a convenience store while confronting him over not fasting.
